IGA Coolum Kite Festival “Off the Lip Classic”

 3rd & 4th October

This year Adventure Sports Kitesurf Australia will host a 2 day event including the 5^th year of the Coolum – Sunshine Beach 15km Downwinder race together with the addition of a relay and surf or freestyle event. 

If we have light wind, we will provide alternative events including freestyle foil kiting and land boarding.  Plenty to do, heaps of fun and a great chance to catch up with kiters from all over.

The downwinder will have 2 divisions.  The first division will be competing for podium positions while the second division will be out for a fun run and the opportunity to pick up novelty prizes along the way.  This year we have increased registrations to allow up to 100 competitors.   With over 60 registrations last year, make sure you get in quick.

Major sponsors include KSAdesigns, Slingshot Kiteboarding, M8 Kiteboarding, Gale Force Kites, Blueyes, Hive swimwear, Pro limit and Lend Lease.  Prizes will include sunnies, board bag, harness, swimwear and of course major kiting gear as donated by our sponsors.
